Local Attractions

Five minutes from the BROADMOOR, Seven Falls is a series of seven cascading waterfalls. The sum of the height of the seven falls is 181 feet and there are a total of 224 steps on the staircase from the base of the falls to the peak. In the evenings, enjoy the view when the entire canyon is illuminated in a veil of light.
 
A day at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a day like no other. Hop aboard a captivating carousel, magical train, or wild-west pony. Take the chairlift-style Sky Ride soaring above the Zoo. Or visit the walk-through aviary where birds will eat right from your hand. There's even a Loft where you can come face-to-face with small animals that, live on the edge of the wild. Let the zoo take you wherever your imagination roams!

Pike’s Peak Cog Railway
Take a ride into the clouds! For 115 years, the Manitou and Pike's Peak Railway (the world's highest cog railroad, the highest Colorado railroad AND highest train in the United States) has taken passengers to the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak.
The 8.9 mile long excursion takes 3 hours and 10 minutes round trip, including 30 - 40 minutes on the summit.

This Registered Natural National Landmark of breathtaking scenery is the # 1 visited attraction in the Pike’s Peak region, and offers views, exhibits of museum quality and American Indian dancing demonstrations. Learn the history of the Park and the Pikes Peak region of Colorado, and find out 'how those red rocks got there!' You haven't "ascended" to the pinnacle of these rock spires until you've seen their theater presentation which dramatically captures the origin of the rock formations, the beauty of the Park landscape and the account of its people.
