Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are becoming a central tool for modernizing healthcare operations and analytics to collect, analyze, visualize and report data. Currently, GIS has expanded its enterprise role to optimize work-flows and analysis capabilities for overall population health improvement, reduction of costs, and increasing patient engagement in managing their care. This presentation will provide an overview of GIS and review of its capabilities and best practices in Healthcare.

Speaker: Dr. Estella Geraghty - Chief Medical Officer and Director of Health Solutions, Esri

Dr. Geraghty is Esri's Chief Medical Officer and Health Solutions Director where she leads the health and human services team, focusing on the improvement of health though strategic use of geographic information systems. Previously, she was the Deputy Director of Health Statistics and Informatics with the California Department of Public Health. She holds an MD, and Master's degrees in Medical Informatics and Public Health from UC Davis. She is board certified in internal medicine.
