This 3.5 hour hands-on workshop presents the most effective tools and techniques for troubleshooting an 1830 PSS-based WDM network.
The focus of the workshop:
|
- Wavelength Tracker
- Performance Monitoring
- Data analysis and alarms correlation
|
This workshop provides a preview of what to expect from Nokia’s new 4-day Optical Diagnostics and Troubleshooting course (TOP00007) which is a component of our Optical Network Certification Program. The 4-day course also covers loopbacks, logs, FEC, payload encapsulation and other important topics. Both the workshop and the full course teach practical skills through real use cases and lab exercises. |

Join us for this 3.5 hour hands-on workshop where you will learn essential skills for planning and designing a WDM network based on the Nokia 1830 PSS. The hands-on workshop will be led by Nokia subject matter experts and will include practical hands-on exercises using the Nokia 1830 Engineering and Planning Tool (EPT).
Here’s what you can expect: |
- An introduction to the optical network design process with focus on the design process for WDM networks.
- Engineering parameters required for WDM design
- An overview of the network element architecture including shelf layouts, card types and channels
- Examples of network configurations, such as L0/L1 and GMPLS
- Through hands-on exercises using the Engineering and Planning Tool (EPT), you will understand the basics of how to:
- Translate network requirements into EPT inputs
- Work on a basic network configuration
- Configure simple NE requirements such as shelf layout
- Discuss some key network design issues such as protection/restoration, Raman amplification, and integration of WDM networks with other network types
