Joe Weinman has held a variety of executive leadership positions at AT&T, Bell Labs, HP, and Telx. His background spans R&D, software development, operations and engineering, sales and marketing, product management, and corporate strategy. He has been awarded 21 U.S. and international patents in cloud computing, distributed storage, homomorphic encryption, pseudoternary line coding, mobile applications, and related technologies. He is the author of Cloudonomics: The Business Value of Cloud Computing, available in English and Chinese and considered the seminal text on cloud economics, including cost, performance, and user experience optimization. He is also the author of Digital Disciplines: Attaining Market Leadership via the Cloud, Big Data, Social, Mobile and the Internet of Things (Wiley CIO, 2015), which focuses on digital strategies. He is the Cloud Economics Editor for IEEE Cloud Computing magazine, and a contributor to Regulating the Cloud (MIT Press, 2015). He has keynoted and presented at well over 100 industry and academic conferences around the world, appeared on broadcast and satellite television, and is frequently quoted in the trade press. Weinman received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Cornell University and UW-Madison, respectively, and has completed executive education at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Manav is a frequent speaker at industry events, and hosts regional thought leadership dinner events for our customers and partners.

Chris Janson is currently Director of Industry Strategies at Alcatel-Lucent. In this role, he follows networking technology trends and their application to enterprise customers, including finance, healthcare, utilities, transportation and government. He also serves on the boards of directors of the Rural Telecommunications Congress and OpenCape Corporation. He holds an MBA from Boston University and Bachelor of Science in engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
