After 15 years as a research scientist with BP looking into alternative energy, he joined Eastern Electricity where he inherited the privatised portfolio of electricity contracts. Recognising a need to help small independent generators navigate the complexities of the electricity industry, Bob left Eastern to set up Tradelink Solutions in 1997 which has grown rapidly providing a wide range of services to its clients through its electricity supply license including a monthly ROC auction and is a voluntary FIT licensee. The Hydro electricity business followed in 2000 and Loco2 Energy in 2009.
