Edmund is a Chartered Surveyor and is the Western representative of the Carter Jonas Energy team, which includes specialist consultants and Environmental Planning Specialists located throughout the firm’s offices in England and Wales. They advise a number of private, corporate and institutional clients upon a range of energy scheme projects and technologies, including wind energy developments both on a commercial scale and micro generation schemes; anaerobic digestion, hydro and biomass projects. The Western Region specialises in hydroelectric projects (HEP) and has specific expertise and training in LowFlows software. In this regard the team also has good experience in dealing with the Environment Agency (EA) and Natural Resources Wales on licensing and the Local Planning Authority, where planning consent is required. Edmund provides specialist advice on a range of renewable energy projects including hydroelectric projects, commercial scale wind farms, anaerobic digestion plants and micro wind turbines. He also advises on the valuation of renewable energy schemes, land referencing, site acquisitions, project feasibility, option and lease arrangements and grant applications. Edmund is a Welsh speaker and is employed as Principal Managing Agent on a number of large rural estates in North Wales. This involves day-to-day management and strategic planning of rural, residential, commercial and leisure property.
